On our pre-anniversary mini celebration, Mickey & I went for a late lunch at Pepper Lunch. I had a shimufuri ( obviously spelled wrong ) beef steak.
The beef was juicy. It came along with a shower of bean sprouts and 2 sad slices of carrot and 3 skinny long beans. I didn't really like the bean sprouts. UH. I do not like bean sprouts actually.
Along with a 'sugar-free' green tea, the set costed Mickey about 16.
I liked the special butter that came along with the beef. It had a garlicky tinge to it.
I pretty much enjoyed it. Altho the steak cooked too quickly for us to realise that temperature was too low to cook the beef anymore. And we forgot when to pour the sauce in.
Despite the 260 degrees hot plate, no oil splattered on me. Which was commendable.
Alright, they had a piece of paper covering the edge of the plate to protect the terrified customers with the instructions on it.
Mickey had a beef and chicken combo, which he found good too! It was seriously a simple and good date.
Oh and we also had Venezia Gelato ice-cream. I had Dark Chocolate and he had Mint Choc.
The ice cream was thick and filled with flavour. Every scoop. Sinful.
That was it for our 8th anniversary! Nope, no pictures unfortunately. I can't point exactly why, but we just didn't.
His birthday coming soon, and I have absolutely no idea what to get! ><
