... Dedicated specially to peeps who complain that Kelly Giang never blog.
i just did :)
hey my com at home is still dead, alright?
I've always been a fan of java concoctions, and it was de rigeur to have a cuppa every morning.
But the coffee machine at my office is well.. infested with ants. I remember quite fondly stirring the cup one morning, and wondering why the brownish mixture on the foam didn't seem to get dissolved. I peered closely and realised the brown mixture... were ants!!!
I recoiled in horror in dumped it away and never touched the machine again.
In my bid to search for the perfect cuppa with the perfect ambience, I always kept a look out for articles in mags and such.
I did stumble upon one in IS magazine,
Wiener Kaffehaus at 148 Neil Road.
We were greeted by a comforting aroma of coffee upon the push of its front doors.
The menu offered a good variety of coffee
and food.
I opted for their specialty Austrian Coffee category and went for a Melange, which is the Viennese cuppucino.
My coffee arrived on a silver platter (a rather pleasant surprise!), with 3 cubes of sugar and a glass of water.
It was a good cup, and i loved how the aroma of the coffee just drifted into my nostrils each time I took a sip from the pristine coffeecup.
Sitting myself in a comfortable corner with an expensive art piece 'Virgins', the walls were a warm gold glow, and stark dark furnishing.
My only point of unhappiness with the cafe was its inferior service.
All was well except for their service crew, who were pretty cold.
Oh, the cafe is also located at some pretty inaccessible location. =[
