Oh it's finally the long awaited weekend!
But I'm staying home all day because it's gonna be so packed everywhere, anywhere today, being a public holiday.
I'll be helping Mickey with some of his assignments later in the afternoon.
But I had a good two weeks!
Met Max & Khai in the first week for lunch at TCC, it was great to see them again!
Thanks for coming down, you two! :)
Had some catching-up, and oh yes, I totally regretted not joining them at Rachie's place!! Sorry guys! :(
Met Rachie yesterday for lunch, and even though we kept reminding each other to pass me the Indebted DVD, we still forgot!
Sigh, such are the minds of overworked interns.
I kinda like my job, cos everyone there is nurturing and warm.
My direct supervisor especially, who resembles Kelly Poon (tho she has no idea who Poon is), pops into the office daily with a cheery Good Morning!
But you can just watch her mood fluctuate from cheery to uh...
er.. exhausted. When I stop by her cube to speak to her she'd be staring intently at her notebook, elbows pressed on the table, hands propping her head up.
She honestly looks quite bad by afternoon.
Which is why I really hope to help them lighten their load, but I tend to have some boo-boo's in my work and she would review them and send it back to me for changes.
I'm just waiting for her to scold me!
But she hasn't. =[
I must put in 200%!
Right, and if you don't know, I'm working at the MICA building, 140 Hill Street ...
which used to be a Police Station.
I couldn't believe it when my mom called me at 645pm and said , ' Are you gonna be home?? Still working??? Come home soon! You can always continue tmr! That building is very old and ... [pregnant pause-Alex's fav ] dangerous. '
'WHAT??? Come on! There's nth here! So what if it's old?? Are you trying say it's haunted??'
'Aiya, hurry up come home now. bye!'
When I went home she continued to nag at me to go home once it's 6pm.
'NO?? I need to do work!'
'Work is neverending, that old building is very dangerous ah!'
'Are you saying it's haunted????'
'.... well, it's dangerous! Not just the ghosts, but people are more dangerous! You might get hurt there!'
And my mother yanks at my filmsy top really hard to illustrate her point.
She chortles with laughter when she sees my roll-eyes- i-can't-believe-you're-acting-like-that face.
my mother is interesting.
oh and i'll be receiving my be-early birthday gift from Mickey today! ahahhaa
I rumaged thru his wallet and found the receipt. It was meant to be a surprise though.

It's an Esprit watch!! I seem to have some obsession with watches!
No, I just have the 'I-want-everything-I-see' syndrome
- which is extremely bad for my wallet.
Especially when I'm just getting a tiny 'allowance'.
But I love my life nonetheless!
Oh yes, shopping date with Lin & Hong next weekend!
